  • Government contract opportunities Operating Room (OR) Nurse Operating Room (OR) Nurse Location: Colorado West Healthcare System d/b/a/ Community Hospital, Grand Junction, Colorado Hours: Monday through Friday with weekend on-call requirements. Responsibilities: --- Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. --- Explain procedures and treatments to patients and their family members to alleviate concerns and ensure understanding. --- Ensure necessary supplies and equipment are readily available for each surgical procedure; accurately mark and address any needed charge adjustments with the Buyer. --- Administer prescribed medications in accordance with approved nursing techniques and protocols. --- Maintain continuous focus on the surgical procedure in the assigned operating room. --- Assist with room turnover, including cleaning and returning supplies, instruments, and equipment as needed. --- Demonstrate clinical expertise and contribute to advancing perioperative nursing practices by staying informed of current research and trends in the specialty. Requirements: --- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Colorado. --- Bachelors Degree in Nursing (or equivalent) from an accredited program. --- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience and training in nursing. --- BLS and ACLS certification required. --- Five (5) or more years of expereince as an Operating Room Nurse. #LI-JM1Bluebird Staffing Job ID #76581.
