Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical/Surgical Job Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night 12-hour shifts, 3 days a week Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred License: Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice Certifications: BLS - American Heart Association; ACLS, NRP, or PALS as appropriate for unit or service Must-Have: Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily Job Description: - Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards. - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care. - Evaluate health status through ongoing collection and assessment of health data. - Conduct health teaching and counseling. - Provide therapy and treatment supportive and restorative to life and well-being, either directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others. - Execute delegated medical functions. - Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed. - Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans. - Document in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. - Use resources as needed. - Promote mission, vision, and values of the organization and abide by service behavior standards. - Perform other duties as assigned. - May be required to float to other departments within the scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs. - May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
