Job Description:
A community health system is seeking a Retail Pharmacist to
support a full spectrum of healthcare functions within this East
Central Utah Medical Center.
This Full-Service Acute Care facility stands as Utah's center for
healthcare excellence. The Retail Pharmacist will join an
award-winning, nationally recognized hospital that boasts an award
for being in the Top 20 in Patient Satisfaction for Community
Hospitals across the nation.
As the Retail Pharmacist, you will report to the Pharmacy Manager
and will be working closely with a team of tenured pharmacy
technologists. The Pharmacist will also have the opportunity to
work with a fantastic team of physicians and health
practitioners.
As a Retail Pharmacist, this person will be responsible for
maintaining accountability for pharmaceutical processes and
representing the pharmacy in community outreach events and
educational programs. This role will require participation in
clinical pharmacy initiatives, patient teaching, code support,
effective use of dosing protocols, and tracking of clinical
interventions. This role will require knowledge of monitoring the
effects of medications best suited for each patient and will
counsel their patients on the effects of the drug.
Known as the gateway to the beautiful red rock formations of
Eastern Utah, the Retail Pharmacist will be able to experience the
