Health Professional and/or Licensed Mental Health Professional
(SWs, MHCs, MFTs, PCs, etc.) just like you at the Mesa County
Detention located in Grand Junction, CO.Pay rates range from
$34.20-$36.10 per hour plus weekend differential based on
employment status, site needs, licensure, and experience.NaphCare

HealthResponsibilities:Responsibilities for Master Prepared Mental
Health Professionals (CSWs, CMHCs, etc.):Perform and document
mental health evaluations, progress notes, individual and group
counseling notes and suicide watch notesCoordinate with healthcare
and security staff regarding patients' mental health care and
release datesParticipate in educational and training activities
related to mental health care for patients, security personnel, and
healthcare staffDemonstrate knowledge of DSM-V / DSM-V-TR
criteriaProvide goal oriented intervention directed toward
management of terminal illness; reaction/adjustment to illness;
strengthening of family/support system; conflict resolution related
to chronic illnessCounsel and provide intervention to assist in the
transition to being incarceratedDocument thoroughly all tasks as
stated in client's medical record to maintain social work recording
and statisticsInitiates and/or participates in patient education
and treatment programs, such as developing educational materials
and providing group therapyQualifications:Qualifications for Mental
Health Professionals (LCSWs, LCMHCs, etc.):Master Prepared Mental
Health Professional and/or Licensed Mental Health Professional
(Social Work, Mental Health Counselor, MFT, MHP, ISW, etc. ) in
Colorado.Supervision opportunities offered at Mesa County Jail for
Master Prepared Mental Health Professionals.A valid CPR cardMust
have knowledge and experience in the identification and treatment
of mental health and co-occurring substance abuse disorders,
discharge planning, principles of social work, basic principles of
individual and group behavior, and a working knowledge of
