Job Description:This job role will entail the Athletic Trainer
splitting time between providing outreach athletic training
services at the secondary school setting/outpatient orthopedic
practice.
Under the direction of a Sports Medicine Physician, the Athletic
Trainer will assist in evaluation and treatment of all
musculoskeletal injuries and sports related injuries. While at the
secondary school the Athletic Trainer's assignment will be to
support the medical needs of the school while promoting
Intermountain Sports Medicine Programs. The position will provide
athletic training coverage, both 'onthe-field' and in the training
room for injured athletes during practices and events. Such duties
may also extend to assist other local high schools and college
settings, community sporting events, and regional sporting
camps/activities. Understanding that this position will have

"Power of We."As an Athletic Trainer at Rocky Mountain Orthopedics,
you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team,
ensuring our patients receive the best care by:
- Competent Services: Assessing patients to determine
modifications of therapy and treatment needs in consultation with
physicians or physical therapists. Developing exercise programs
that appropriately address patients' short and long-term goals.
Demonstrating and helping patients execute prescribed therapeutic
exercises per physician protocols or physical therapist directions.
Monitoring patients' responses to treatment. Educating patients
regarding exercise programs, health needs, and risks. Coordinating
care with other patient care providers as appropriate.
- Documentation and Maintenance: Completing appropriate
documentation including reports, treatments, intake forms, message
logs, etc. Cleaning, maintaining, and inspecting exercise
equipment. Reporting repair and maintenance needs. Actively
engaging in marketing and community educational programs.
- Certified Athletic Trainer Services: Providing Certified
Athletic Trainer services as assigned. Working closely with
physicians to facilitate post-operative care and injury
treatment/rehabilitation. Educating patients on injuries,
diagnosis, and post-operative care and attending to patient
questions/messages for physicians. Performing duties for patients
such as casting, splinting, brace fitting, wound care and
bandaging, taking vitals, drawing up medications, and performing
tests for illnesses such as flu and strep. Assisting with
procedures and concussion treatments. Filing paperwork correctly
and obtaining prior authorizations on certain procedures and
surgeries.Minimum Qualifications
- Current license as an Athletic Trainer in the state of
practice.
- National athletic trainer certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
- Experience in a variety of computer programs including
databases, word processing, and internet.
- Related working experience, preferred.Physical Requirements:
Carrying, crawling, hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity,
pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling,

hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate
dependent upon experience. $23.25 - $35.89 We care about your
