Job Description:The CT Tech performs a variety of CT procedures
using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. This position
uses ingenuity, initiative, and independent judgement to perform

will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring
our patients receive the best care by:Maintains ARRT competency in
all clinical and technical functions of the jobUnderstands and
operates CT equipment and related information systems appropriately
to ensure production of quality images.Ensures proper patient
identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for
the exam.Performs exams per department protocol.Reviews and
evaluates images for quality, clarity, and accuracy, ensuring that
all necessary anatomical structures are captured.Adheres to
radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working
environment for patients and staff.Follows appropriate protocol for
medical necessity, coding and charging, obtaining necessary
consents, maintaining applicable QC program and reporting any
equipment failures or problems.As ordered by the physician and
under radiologist or physician supervision administers contrast
media to patients per protocol and provides education to patients
regarding safety concerns inherent to contrast administration.CT
Tech Minimum QualificationsHealth Services\ARRT - American Registry
of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (RT)(R) Upon HireHealth
Services\BCLS - Basic Life Support within 60 DaysHealth Services\IV
- IV Certification within 60 DaysRelevant state licensure Upon
HireFor caregivers hired in this role in the State of Colorado, a
Fluoroscopy License is required Upon Hire(Where applicable) Must
complete the controlled substance module within 30 Days(Where
applicable) Must complete the initial moderate sedation module
within 30 DaysSpecific facility-based certifications may also be
required for this role. If this applies, each facility would define
and manage compliance.CT Tech Preferred Qualifications1-2 years of
CT ExperienceExperience in a healthcare settingCT Specialty Tech in
Training Minimum Qualifications (Pay range $30.94 - 47.77 USD
Hourly)Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare
providers.Applicable State LicenseAn American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) technologist who is currently
attending and receiving formal training from an accredited training
program or successful completion of formal training from an
approved/accredited school or a licensed American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) technologist who has been
selected to cross-train in another modality.CT Specialty Tech in
Training Preferred Qualifications1-2 years customer service or
patient care experienceIV CertificationPhysical
Requirements:Physical RequirementsOngoing need for employee to see
and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate
monitors, identify equipment and supplies.Frequent interactions
with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require
employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand
spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and
accurately, particularly during emergency situations.Manual
dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate
equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent
computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing
needed information, medication preparation, etc.Expected to lift
and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also
bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically
includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy
items.Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This
includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including
heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms
(full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)May be expected
to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of
time.For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which
requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and
